On Tuesday, NASA revealed plans for several lunar missions targeting the Moon's South Pole. These missions are intended to lay the groundwork for future crewed landings.

The first of these missions is scheduled for 2026, with the ultimate goal of supporting the Artemis program's planned crewed landing in 2028.

The three initial Moon Base missions are seen as critical steps toward achieving a sustainable human presence on the lunar surface.
