Senegal is experiencing a notable political upheaval as President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has decided to dismiss Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. This decision comes after a prolonged period of tension between the two leaders.

The dismissal of Sonko has raised questions about the future of Senegal's political landscape, particularly given Sonko's recent re-election as head of his political party, Pan-African Pastef.

As the situation develops, it remains to be seen how this change will impact governance and political stability in Senegal.
