In a recent statement to Euronews, Nicolas Forissier, France’s Minister for Foreign Trade, expressed concerns about the current trade dynamics between the EU and China.
Forissier cautioned that if China were to undermine Europe’s industry, it would not gain anything in the long run, urging the EU to adopt a more strategic approach to address trade imbalances.
He highlighted the necessity of a comprehensive strategy to counteract the weaponization of foreign trade, stressing the importance of safeguarding European industrial interests.
