The California Department of Motor Vehicles has announced new regulations that will enable law enforcement to ticket driverless cars.

Starting July 1st, autonomous vehicles on California roads will no longer be exempt from traffic violations.

This change means that manufacturers of autonomous vehicles could receive notices for noncompliance with traffic laws.
